I just got Windows Vista and none of my games will run properly, the screen
gets theese lines all over it.

I downloaded the Driver for the Nvidia Geforce 7900 gt/gto, but im not sure
if the download was sucessfull after i restarted my computer. I need to get
this problem solved asap.

Also i can hear the sound in the background of the games, and when i press
Ctrl+alt+delete the screen gets green ( since it get green useally when u do
it ) + theese stripes there aswell

Try this Anders,

Tap your Windows Key on your keyboard to bring up your Start menu.
Type "Device" (Don't press enter)
Click on "Device Manager" when it comes up.
Click on the + next to Display Adapters in this window.
You should see "NVIDIA GeForce 7900..." here. Double Click on that line.
Click on Driver Tab

You should see your "Driver Version:", as well as the "Driver Date:" here.
Post that info in a reply if you want and someone can tell you if you have
the latest driver installed.

If not, go to http://www.guru3d.com, click on the Download Link, look for
the 32-bit Vista Forceware drivers for nVidia. I think the latest version is
162.50. Download the file (you have to click "I Agree" on an agreement
somewhere), save the file to your HD, then run the file, you should get a
nVidia installer, a couple "Next >" clicks and it will install and tell you
to Reboot. When you check that window above after rebooting, the Driver
Version appears as:

7.15.11.6250 (See the 1.6250 at the end... 162.50... get it?)

If you run the game and you get the same problem can you be more through in
your description. Do the polygons in the game start freaking out? Does it
look like the game isn't drawing correctly? If it's just interferrence,
check the cables going to your monitor, make sure they are connected
securely.

If it's the polys, try opening your case and placing a fan on your graphics
card, see if that helps. Could be your card is over heating or failing and
just has to be replaced or cooled better.

What model card is this specifically? Who made it? What model.

Good luck,
A.

I am having the same problems with my computer, here is what I've
done/tried:

System:
ASUS M2A-VM HDMI
AMD Athlon x2 64 4800+
4 GB DDR2 800 Ram (2x2GB G. Skill in Dual Channel)
500 GB SATAII HDD (Western Digital I think, honestly, it was a deal, so
in it went)
Cheap DVD/CD-RW, IDE, had it for over a year

I've used the drivers that came with MoBo, I've tried every version of
the drivers available on ATI's website. This is my second MoBo, first
was a GigaByte GA-MA69VM-S2. I've also replaced the Ram, tried another
HDD, and I have a Radeon X1950 Pro that I've tried, but have removed
until I get this sorted out.

I've also upgraded the PSU of the machine, mainly to support the x1950,
since its quite power hungry. I've also contacted ATI directly and was
given a long list of directives for AGP based cards, which mine is
PCI-E. So, I hope that somebody else has had a similar problem and can
offer me some advice.

Side note, my audio also is having issues in the form of being in one
of 3 states: Working, Choppy/Stuttering, or Not Working at All. It
changes states frequently. I can probably give a lot more details about
the problem, but I won't clutter this post with them.
