Post subject: wowexec.exe
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

I keep getting this file running it actually runs as space then wowexec.exe I
found it running in task manager, it way slows down my computer. I stop it in
task manager but with every rebut or restart it starts back up?

So far things I've found about it say it's not an issue, leave it alone. but

Windows on Windows Execution (wowexec)

It handles running old 16-bit applications in a 32-bit operating system.

You've got some old apps running on your host. Time to check if newer
32-bit versions are available.
