Hi

I have both windows messenger and msn 6 on my computer, although I primarily
use msn 6. However I signed into windows messenger today and got the message
'You are not signed in to all services'.

When I click on this message I enter my mail addy then the error message
'Signing in to Communications Service failed because the service is
temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.'

What does this mean?

TIA

Greetings Tracy,

This is related to the SIP server support in Messenger (not the .NET Messenger service
itself). I assume you're not using that (you're not if you don't know what it is) and you
can turn it off. Click the Tools menu in Messenger, then select Options. Click the accounts
tab and then click the option button '.NET Passport' under 'Sign in with this account
first:'. Then, uncheck the box 'My contacts include users of a communications service', click
OK and then try and sign on again.
