I have windows Vista, msn is my isp. I have set up a gmail acct with google
but still can't send emails from web pages such as craigs list. I think some
of my settings might be off or I might not have the google acct set as the
default to send email.( I'm not sure how to do all of this) Does anyone have
and suggestions?

Gmail is a little tricky with windows mail or outlook. Login to your gmail
webpage and go to settings for popmail; make sure the settings are the same
in your windows mail account settings. Gmail help also offers the option of
automatic export of mail settings.
Also, you can make gmail your default mail account either in the webpage, or
in the outlook options.
Some default mail settings in windows mail can affect newsletters being
allowd through. Try exploring your options as well as the help pages that are
there. You can check the default settings in Vista with the control panel. If
you don't like thr=e results of your changes, they are easy to reverse.

Thanks a bunch. I downloaded the google pop mail troubleshooter and it told
me everything I needed to do and I can now send email.
