vista to XP(MCE2005) share problem (bad password)

Hi all,

I have had vista ultimate installed since it was released. I also have a pc
running MCE2005. For the past 3 days I can not connect to the MCE machine at
all. I will try and list out as much as I can remember. This has worked for
MONTHS!! It prompts for username and password (even though they match on both
machines).

1.No firewalls enabled on either machine.
2.Matching accounts on both machines.
3.I was mapping to c$,d$ and g$.
4.I can not browse the shared printers on the MCE machine now either.
5.Media player on vista STILL SEE'S the music on the MCE machine.
6.The MCE machine can connect to the vista admin shares with no prompts.
7.when I connect to the share and use MCEMachine\user or vistapc\user
neither works.
8.The error is unknown user or bad password.
9.I get the same error in the networking page when I browse to it.


Thanks in advance for ANY help... I am almost ready to go back to an older
image.
