   Soft32 Home -> Windows -> Perform Maintain RSS

Post subject: update installs failed
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

Was running through Windows Update this morning. Had 11
Critical Updates listed. Was in the process of downloading
& installing when Norton kicked in (regularly scheduled
LiveUpdate that I forgot to disable). Now have all 11
Critical Updates showing on the Installation History page
as "failed", but Critical Updates shows as (0). How can I
reinstall these Updates?

My experience has been that you can disable your anti-
virus, and re-install the updates. If it's
showing "failed", that's what it did...it failed,
therefore it's not updated. Just re-install.
