I inadvertently placed my e-mail home page on my desktop and want to remove
it. How do I do this?

I don't know what you mean by "placed my e-mail home page on my
desktop," but in the subject line you say "shortcut to e-mail on my
desktop."

If all you want to do is remove a desktop shortcut, it doesn't matter
what it's a shortcut to. You can remove it easily. Here are three
ways:

1. Single-click it and press the delete key.

2. Right-click it and choose "Delete"

3. Drag it to the recycle bin.
