Hello!

Is it safe to use old screen savers that work well in Windows 9x, 2000,
and XP under Vista? Did Vista's screen saver component changes a lot in
terms of security and backward compatible? I have old screen savers like
System 47 (http://www.mewho.com/system47/), 24 (http://w3rd.org/24/),
etc. that I like but wasn't sure if they were good ideas for Vista.

Thank you in advance.

3rd Party screensavers are "allowable" in Vista. Whether they will work or
not is another question. Some screensavers that were programmed before the
advent of Vista will work, and some won't. You pretty much have to test
them and see if they work.
