My screen does not go blank when my screen saver kicks in. Is there an easy
fix for this? Thanks.

It can depend on which screensaver you're using eg Bubbles doesn't blank the
screen out.

That seems odd to me. What good is a screen saver if it doesn't save your
screen by blanking it?

I'm not a hardware expert, but as I understand it screensavers have long
since ceased to do squat for saving the screen. They're there just as an
attractive artistic alternative to staring at a black screen, I would
suppose.

One of the hardware boys may provide a more in-depth analysis.

True.

Not quite. The main value of a screensaver these days is so someone in
an office can leave his desk without leaving what he was doing visible
to passers-by.
