When I click on a link in an email or other document it opens but shows a
Run Time Error, R 6025 - pure virtual function call. This just started to
happen a few days ago. I've been using IE7 for some time. Op sys is XP Pro.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Mitch

Get hyperlinks in OE to open IE:

Thanks for the response.

The DDE appears to be configured correctly as defined in the link. Also ran
regsvr32 urlmon.dll successfully but problem still remains - C++ run time
error.

Maybe I should reinstall IE??? or is there something else to try?

Could you have spyware that tries to redirect you? Try turning off all
Add-Ons and see if that eliminates the error. Also look in the
Downloaded Program Files folder for anything suspicious.. that's where
ActiveX components are stored.

Mitch, I had the Runtime Error 6025 for several weeks and I finally stumbled onto something that seems to have worked for me. In the Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, uncheck the item "Enable Third Party Browser Extensions". I also am running Windows XP and IE7 and this is what helped me.

Hope this helps.
