The inability to boot with your old Windows installation is natural, as the
new machine has totally different stuff than the old one, needing totally
different drivers.
Original SetUp disc (and old machine): Is it maybe some Brand name OEM setup
disk like Dell, HP or F-S o something like that? If so, there's no way to
get it to work on the new parts, as those XP setup discs needs to find a
suitable mobo (BIOS)
