Purchase it for $29.95? when there are plenty of apps will do this and more
for FREE.
Nothing wrong with getting paid for your work but that price is a little
steep.

XPRock uses open sourced material, that is now used by some Viruses to
download window logins, and McAfee virus scanners detect this
application as a Malware, so do other virus scanners. XPRock opens
your computer system up to the possibility of Root Kit attacks.

INNOBATE Product Key Recovery has been verified by McAfee to be free
of Malware; its installation package has been also verified to be
virus free. This is something not done by others. INNOBATE Product
Key Recovery is an Administrator, Technician Tool, who maintains large
corporate networks, and has policies that require them to use or
download software from verified sources, which INNOBATE's website and
software meet.

INNOBATE also offers INNOBATE Product Key Recovery as a shareware at
CNET, which will do what most home users will need it for, as it is
not feature limited, but has a 30 day limit. Print the product key
code, and store it somewhere safe, or print it to a file and store it
on your computer system for later use as well.

Also the price is right, because at the end of the day, Visa, Master
Card, AMEX, Discovery and other Debit Card companies need to be paid,
plus the people maintaining customer registrations for us, and also
our support staff.

As for changing keys, all these tools use a script that does not
validate if the key code, should you have a typo, good luck with that
when you reboot your system next time round. At least with the method
INNOBATE Product Key Code employs, does all this safely.

Support of Microsoft Office 2007 32bit, 64bit, XP, 2000, 2003 Key Code
is available with INNOBATE Product Key Code Recovery.
Vista 64 bit and 32bit Key Code Recovery supported.

There is so many other little things this tool from INNOBATE takes
care of, such as warn you to the possibility that the recovered
Windows Product Key Code, maybe a OEM bulk install key, and useless
for reinstalling Windows XP. It is well worth the price, you pay,
because when faced with a fully re-formatted hard drive, and finding
out that Windows XP will not install, because the Windows Product Key
Code is not valid, due to it being an OEM bulk install key, can be
quite annoying.

Also its not some freely developed tool, that's thrown on to a
website, with willy nilly support, just to gain popularity with the
freebie internet society, if some user finds a bug with this software,
it will be fixed within a week, and automated download patches will be
made available to everyone.

Thank you for your well wishes.

Wow. Who mentioned the product you decided to compare to?

I would still say that Magic Jelly Bean Keyfinder, Belarc Advisor or some of
the other freeware tools would be a better choice. Especially in this case.

All the OP needs is the Product Key from the currently installed
(functioning) Windows XP installation. Belarc Advisor, Magic Jellybean
Keyfinder, etc - have all been around a long time. Belarc also SELLS their
product - but their free version will do exactly (and more) what this
particular OP needs. Give them the product key currently used on their
machine.

http://www.belarc.com/

http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml

And - although the original posting had nothing to do with it - why wouldn't
I use the free download from Microsoft to change my product key?

The Genuine Advantage Product Key Update Tool is only valid for
users attempting to change their current non-genuine Product Key
to a genuine COA sticker or genuine Product Key - all without a
reinstall!

Shenan,

Good reply and I started to reply myself but didn't feel the need to waste
my time. In his/her response I feel you will not convince them otherwise and
they have the only safe software available. Funny only to my reply did
Innobate mention a Shareware version and not to the OP. And BTW Innobate the
program is called RockXP NOT XP. And I understand you have people to
pay but I say your software is still to much for what little it does.

All the best,
SG

Good grief, what a bunch of mostly silly posts. amongst the tools I have, I
like BelArc Advisor for such things. It's free, been around quite awhile,
and reliable/stable.
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

There are several other free alternatives, too, including one called jelly
bean finder or something like that; I no longer have it so can't give you a
link readily. I'm glad you nuked the guy trying to spam you for money;
that's downright stupid.

BTW: Are you certain there isn't a sticker or label on the bottom or back
of the PC with the number on it? Or a Certificate of Authority that came
with the XP CD?

Good reply. I'm all for making sure good authors get paid for their
efforts, but ... that person's just pimping for money. When one writes an
app for sale, it shouldn't be something the whole world has already written
a freebie for.

Mostly I just wanted to add a little concurrence for the OP re BelArc and
Jelly Bean. Both good products, IMO and I know many others, too.

The trick is to develop and charge for an application before the freeware version exists Smile

Any number of things could be wrong, your entering it incorrectly, your
trying to use it on a different version than what it's for,, etc.

You are probably misreading a letter or number. Try using the KeyFinder
utility, available free.
