Post subject: Using an image map as wallpaper
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>customize (more info?)

Hello,

Not sure if this is even possible...

I am trying to have an image map in an html file set as my wallpaper. I have
created the image map, which works in both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
When I set the html file as background instead of an image file, I encounter
two problems though.

1. There appears to be a margin of 10, maybe 15 pixels at the top and left
side of the image. I set the margin to zero using css and the img tag, but to
no avail. I get no margin in a browser. ***** I just wanted to change the
background color to see where the bright green displayed at the top and left
came from, and now the margin disappeared. Strange.

2. The links I created are not clickable. When I use a different file and
click a text link in it, it does work. Is there any reason the image map
links don't? Is it maybe that image maps are not supported or have I done
something wrong?

All help would be appreciated.
