Post subject: This error on a new install is
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>hardware (more info?)
of a Biostar TA690G AM2 motherboard.I did a Win XP repair install.The error
after booting to Windows is : C:\Win\system 32\NyMcTray.dll ,failed to
load.Please help.

I get no hits for "NyMcTray.dll" on Google. Are you sure the file name
isn't "Nvmctray.dll"? If it is the latter, this file creates a System
Tray icon to manage your Nvidia graphics card. It is unnecessary to have
starting with Windows and you can disable it with the System
Configuration Utility. Or uninstall your video drivers and reinstall
with the latest ones from Nvidia.

Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab
and find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply
and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you
do you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box
that says in effect, "don't bother me about this again".

Important - Do not use the System Configuration Utility to stop
processes. Instead, use Start>Run>services.msc [enter]

right you are.i had done the msconfig before i posted but on boot it gets
checked again on it's own.i used nvidia with the old board,removed nvidia
via "add or remove programs".onboard ATI 1250 now using.more ideas?thanks

It's being called from somewhere. Use msconfig as previously suggested
or Sysinternal's Autoruns to find the startup entry and disable it.
