I have an email account with at&t so I would like to continue to use it.
Can that information just be added to my new pc instead of creating a new
account?

I'm not sure why you are distinguishing between adding new
(account) information and adding a new account. Those actions
are essentially equivalent.

AT&T has some online instructions for setting up a mail account in
Outlook Express; those directions will work fine with Windows Mail:

Yes, Start Windows Mail then...

Tools > Accounts > Add > (fill in details as per Outlook Express)
