anti virus wont install

i recently brought an anti virus programme Mcafee 2004
8.0. along with firewall. i installed the firewall fine
and its working great. but when trying to install the
anti virus programme it closes itself half way through, i
thought it may be a problem with the disk itself but its
not it loaded on my other pc fine.

do you have any idea what the problem could be?
