Post subject: XP Explorer Issue
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>basics (more info?)

On my HP desktop with Windows XP Professional, when I drag and drop any
photo files (JPG) or video (MPG) files to a new folder, I end up with a
corrupt file. I can copy and paste the files to the new folder and get a
good file. I can also drag and drop them with ACDSee and all is good.
other fines, such as word docs, etc. don't seem to have any problems.

Any ideas what happened to my explorer? Can I restore it without having to
reload Windows?

Thanks!

Mark
