i have a huge problem with xp. i am running cable
internet and xp keeps shutting it off every 5 minutes.
when i look in my task bar there is an application called
sp running. then my my web pages say they cannot open.
i brought a firewall and it didnt help.

i keep getting pop up adds all the time and programmes
installed everytime i turn it on and off. all these
spyware files. im not running any p2p software.
sometimes my pc freezes for 10 seconds every 30 seconds
before closing down my internet access.
i reinstalled xp and it did the same.

if i create new accounts and try to go into a account it
shuts down my pc.

What can i do to fix these problems.
what do you surgest?
would buying a new hardrive work?
