Windows live vs Hotmail

How do I get rid of Windows Live and get a plain old, understandable Hotmail
account?

If you opened the Hotmail account recently and it started with the
Windows Live UI, that's what you get. If you opened an MSN Hotmail
account (the old UI) and switched to the Windows Live UI, you have until
they remove the switch link disappears to switch back. That is, when
you switch to the Windows Live UI, there is a link to get back to the
MSN Hotmail UI; however, after awhile, that link disappears and you have
no way to get back.
