can Windows mail contacts be tagged?

My understanding is that one can add and edit metadata for Windows mail
contacts in the same way as for photos. I want to tag individual contacts, if
possible, but I don't see any way to do this in the properties details tab.
Am I missing something, or is tagging contacts not possible?
