Hi Tab,
Windows Messenger 5 no longer has support for MSN Chat Rooms, this feature has moved to MSN
Messenger exclusively. To get the functionality back, you'll need to go back to Windows
Messenger 4.7 or install MSN Messenger 6.
If you want to go back to Windows Messenger 4.7, simply uninstall Windows Messenger 5 by
clicking Start, then Run, type (or copy/paste) the following:
msiexec.exe /x {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B10138}
and then click OK.
Then, you can reinstall Windows Messenger 4.7 from here:

If you want to install MSN Messenger 6 instead, you can find it here:
http://messenger.msn.com/Download
