Please explain what it is you are seeing carefully and completely.

If english is not your first/native language - you may wish to post in a
newsgroup where your native language is used.

Firstly thanks for the suggestions _Shenan_Stanley_
The problem i have is that :

1)a star shaped icon on the task bar says (on clicking it) get genuine
copy of Windows XP.
2)I cannot install Windows media player 11 and XP updates.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

(2) is likely because of (1)...

Three things you should return here with (do not post your product keys
here.)

Use something like Belarc Advisor to obtain the product key that your
installed version of Windows XP is using. Write that down and compare it
with the printers product key you have (either on a sticker on the machine
or on a sticker on the CD case for your copy of Windows XP) - do they match?

Visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ and click on the "Validate Windows"
botton on the left side. Report the results (verbatim) here.

Next visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag/ and click on the "Start
Diagnostics" button on the left. Report the results (verbatim) here.

If all things come out okay (your in-use product key and the one printed on
a sticker for your license of Windows XP match, you pass the validation and
all diagnostics pass) - then we will have a place to start. If they do
not - then we will have a definitive reason.

http://www.google.com/search?q=Windows+XP+Validator

So you are _here_ asking how to hack your Windows XP so you can utilize it
whether or not it is legitimate?

Because i have tried many files from different websites like:
www.katz.cd
www.thepiratebay.com
& many other torrent supporting sites but it did not workout.

Let me be more clear about the point of my response:

Go elsewhere - you will not get assistance in a Microsoft based newsgroup on
how to continue to utilize your illegitimate software.

Why? Although the simplistic response is because no one here (in these
legitimate newsgroups) will likely assist you in your efforts to skirt the
agreement that comes with whatever software you are trying to essentially
use without proper rights to do so - I would go further to say that if you
had the skill to do what you wanted to do and some sense about the proper
places to look for such information - you wouldn't be asking here.

It *is* that easy - unfortunately.
