Hi there,
When i click within a program that runs on xp, for example Mediamonkey
& Google desktop, to a function which opens up a browser and goes to
a page i get nothing.
To be clear in Mediamonkey there is a menu item, called on-line forum.
Normally this opens up my browser and goes to the address. Nothing,
blommin nothing.
And in the google desktop search, there is the option to look at
results in browser, i click on that nothing once more.
This happens to all programs at the moment.
i use Firefox as a browser, however, if i set IE as default this still
occurs( or you could say nothing occurs).
i know there must be a setting within windows xp pro, however, for the
life of me i cannot find it. I have downloaded Tweak ui, nothing in
there.
If anyone knows how to fix this problem, or any ideas, please let me
know, this is buggin me.
Regards,
Vol |

You could be having a problem with XP recognizing your default browser. Try
this:
1. Go to "Start" > "Control Panel".
2. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs".
3. On the left side of the window, select "Set Program Access and
Defaults".
4. Select the "Custom" radio button. If "Custom" is already selected, click
the drop-down menu arrow to the right of "Custom" to expand your menu
options.
5. In the "Choose a default Web browser" section, select a supported
browser (either Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
6. Click "OK" to save your preferences.
See also the "Windows and Vista" section on this page (for Firefox):
