Can anybody tell me if it is possible to upgrade from a previous version of
Windows before Vista using a Win Vista Upgrade CD?

Example:
I have a Windows XP Home (Retail Full Package Product) installed in my
system. Can I buy a a Win Vista Upgrade CD and install it over the Windows XP
Home (Retail FPP)? Just like XP back then wherein you can purchase the
upgrade version then install it over Windows 2000 or Windows ME or Windows 98
system.

Many Thanks.

Of course you can. Just remember that the upgrade license subsumes the
license of your WXP, meaning you can't intall that WXP license anywhere else
without voiding the Vista license. Also, in case you want to reinstall your
Vista a later date, you will have to install the WXP first, then do the
upgrade to Vista again -- don't lose the WXP installation CD. If your WXP
was preinstalled, then make sure you have a way to reinstall it. Better to
think of these things now that later.
