Visual Studio 2005 works on Vista, just need to apply the necessary Service
Pack.

Visual Studio on Windows Vista:

Visual Studio 2005 SP1

You tried the Visual Studio newsgroup?

You have the big update for VS?

Actually there was a compatibility update too I think but reckon you
must have that as the update should be automatically offered.

What's the problem with the application? And are you aware that a program
running on the Vista platform may need to use the Vista UAC Manifest to
present the proper credentials so that the program can run properly with the
rights needed?

You can test the credentials issue by right-clicking on the exe, if this is
an exe desktop solution, and run the program/application with Run As
Administrator.

If it runs with no problems, then you know the programs has an issue with
presenting the proper credentials to Vista so that Vista will allow the
program to run with the necessary rights, which is done by the program using
the Vista UAC Manifest to present the credentials. If that is the problem,
then you use Google and find out how to present the credentials with the
..Net solution.
