Text issues

I loose the text or it becomes noletter formed jibberish on my file, view,
insert etc....headings & drop downs. I get a wide bar that runs horizontally
on my screen that blocks everything behind it out. If I reboot it is fine
for a bit. Seems to happen reguardless of whether I am online or in office
programs.

Sounds like it may be a virus, if being online or offline doesnt make a
difference. Have you tried running anti-virus and anti-spyware scans? Make
sure their updated with the latest definitions.

But, it could also be a problem with the Office program, if you still have
the disc and lisence code for it, i would reccomend re-installing it, but
make sure you back up all your work first, just in case! Use that only as a
last resort, since its more likely to be malware or viruses.

Does this only affect Office?
