I have used the settings for Sky mail to be used through Vista Windows Mail.
These settings are not working for me.
POP3 =pop.tools.sky.com
SMTP=smtp.tools.sky.com
checked Outgoing server requires authentication
Have set Incoming server port to 995
Outgoing server 465
I have set the above at default Incoming 25 Outgoing 110 without any luck
I have set everything by the details that I googled but to no avail
Has anyone actually got sky mail to be sent & received through Windows Mail?

There is one setting you have not mentioned >>>
Did you enable SSL ?
Tools > Accounts > your account > Properties > Advanced. Put a checkmark on
BOTH " This server requires a secure connection (SSL) " > APPLY/OK
Make sure : do that on BOTH POP3 and SMTP.

P.S. Keep the 995 and 465 port numbers, not the " default " numbers.

As t-4-2 already told you, the SSL option must be enabled for those servers.

If you still get an error message after making that change,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
There's nothing like a complete error message to reveal what is wrong.
