To rip a DVD on Mac OS X, iSkysoft DVD Ripper for Mac is perfect!

You can also use HandBrake (freeware) to help you rip DVD to iPod/iPhone format. HandBrake can be run on both Windows and Mac, so you can it to rip DVD to iPod/iPhone video on windows OS or rip DVD to iPod/iPhone video on Mac OS X. Below is the detailed tutorial:

If you want to convert DVD to iTunes Windows, you can use DVD Ripper Platinum to help you rip DVD to iTunes compatible format. Then you can sync the output files in your iTunes library to your iPod or iPhone.

You can also try this DVD Ripper for Mac to rip DVD movie on Mac OS X.

It is perfectly compatible with Mac OS X Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard.
