I have WINXP SP2 on two PCs . Sometimes when trying to connect to the remote
desktop I get an error about desktop settings and I get a "temp" desktop on
the remote PC, like when you log in for the first time. No applications,
nothing.
So I need to reboot the remote PC several times until I can connect remotely
to the right desktop.
Is like I cannot hook to the right profile, even though I'm using the same
login/pass every time

Please can you provide some advice?

Never heard of that one...

Anything in the event viewer/logs that may provide clues?

Is this simply a standalone workgroup PC your connecting to or is this in a
domain environment?

I'll try to catch the error mesage next time....is difficult, since it lasts
for a couple of seconds and then it starts building a new desktop view.
In any case, this happens mostly when I have the login/pass saved. I
disabled the feature in order to enter it manullay and worked fine.

tks,
