Greetings Earl,
Can you be more specific about what exactly is occurring and any error message that you're
receiving?

Could you advise me what version of Windows Messenger I
and the person I am trying to help with Remote Assistance
should be using? 5.0 or 4.7? I can't tell from the
descriptions of the software. We use the Internet
Connection Firewall - one through MSN Butterfly and the
other through people pc. We both have Windows XP Home
version.
Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,
When I click in "Ask for remote assistance " from PC 1 and the user in PC 2
accept, In my screen I got " You have accepted the invitation to start
Remote Assistance." at the other end " xxx has accepted your invitation to
start using Remote Assistance."
Not error message and we can wait and wait and nothing happens.
This will happens with any PC in my network or with an other outside, but if
I use the WM 4.7 it works.

Hi Earl,
Very unusual (usually people see the problem on Windows Messenger but not MSN Messenger 6).
Do you happen to know if that D-Link router is Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) supported, if
you don't know, what's the exact model?

Hi,
There's some new firmware updates for the DI-624 (just got released this past week). You
might want to try them:
http://support.dlink.com (choose the DI-624 then your revision).

Earle Caravelle II,
Your brusque comment to Jonathan will certainly not encourage other
