Program icons missing on Desktop, Start Menu

I have suddenly lost the program icons on the "most frequently used"
part of the Start menu and also a few program icons on the Desktop. The
shortcuts are still there but they display the generic "Window" icon
instead of the program's icon. Icons on the "All Programs" part of the
start menu have not been affected.

Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

Please try line 121. Increase Icon Cache
