I use my Notebook w/ Vista at work and home. While at work, via ethernet
connection, I can send email fine. At home via Wifi, I can receive, but I
cannot send. I've tried to check my router settings and my firewall
settings. What could be the problem? Basically, it tells me my smtp server
has not responded.

It would have been helpful if you had included the complete
error message.
Basically, there must be a match between the SMTP server and
the entity connecting you to the Internet.
There are some workarounds, so let us know if you need more help.

You must use the SMTP sever setting for the ISP that you are connecting to,
contact your ISP for the settings or if they have a web site check for help
there.
