Post subject: Problems booting Windows XP Professional
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

Hi, i've been running Windows XP on my computer for quite
some time and I finally decided to uninstall a video
processing program. After removing the video program i
was't asked to do a restart (don't know if this caused the
problem or not). So i decided to do a system restore to
the day before, since my reason for uninstalling the video
program was because it installed a noncomaptible video
decoder on my system. After selecting the system restore
my computer was automatically restarted. Windows never
restarted, my computer stops on a black screen with this
written on it "a disk error occured" Please help!!
