WANT TO USE OUTLOOK EXPRESS ON MY NEW COMPUTER AND I HAVE
TWO PROBLEMS:

1. I WANT TO RETRIEVE MY OLD EMAIL FROM OUTLOOK EXPRESS
AT GARFIELDODDIE.RemoveThis@WORLDNET.ATT.NET. HOW DO I ACCOMPLISH
THAT?

2. SECONDLY I WANT TO SET UP A NEW OUTLOOK EXPRESS WITH
MY GARFIELDODDIE.RemoveThis@MSN.COM ACCOUNT BUT WHEN I GO TO SET UP
THE ACCOUNT IN PRESENT OUTLOOK EXPRESS I DONT KNOW HOW TO
FILL IN THE BLANK ASKING WHO THE MAIL SERVER IS FOR MY
HTTP SERVER INCOMING. AND IT ALSO ASKS FOR OUTGOING
SERVER AND I DONT KNOW WHAT NAME TO PUT IN.

THANK YOU..

First turn off caps lock, it is considered to be shouting. Having everything
in lower case is better than upper case. Second, search the newsgroup for
similar previous posting.

1. Get OEBACKUP found on www.oehelp.com/OEBackup/Default.aspx. Run it on the
old PC to create a backup of files and registry configurations. Then
transfer these to the new PC and import them. It transfers the user setting,
address book, mail folders, etc.

2. Ask your service provider for the incoming and outgoing server names.

I re-installed XP on a new partition because the upgrade
configuration had too many problems. I have backup files
of email and address book from the previous installation
where I used Outlook. This install I did not load Outlook
(it is too complicated, so opt now to use OE). However I
do not find the same folders in the new installation that
the files were backed up from in the old.

Can you tell me where to put them so they will show up in
OE?

Thanks
Fred
