I have my computer set to receive automatic updates from micosoft. I request
that these are loaded on shutdown. Some of my recent updates do not appear to
want to load properly and each time I now close down I keep getting asked to
load these. Each time they do not appear to load. How can I resolve matters
please any ideas ?
Thanks

I used this sevral times in last few days & it worked. I have just
tried the suggestion below, recommended by Bob ((leanin' cedar)
in a previous email on this site (see Joe Medford - 8.10.07) - it worked.

1. Click on Start and then click Run,
2. In the open field type "REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL" (without quotation marks) and
press Enter.
3. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in WUAPI.DLL succeeded" message,
click OK.
4. Please repeat these steps for each of the following commands:
REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL
REGSVR32 WUAUENG1.DLL
REGSVR32 ATL.DLL
REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL
REGSVR32 WUWEB.DLL...........hope it works for u 2, sdlomi2

Automatic updates is asking for trouble. You should disable your anti
virus auto scan when installing *anything*. I also do a clean up and
defrag before I go to Windows Updates and download and install them
*manually*.

I also wait until the weekend and check the Windows Update newsgroup to
make sure there aren't any glitches.
