MSN Messenger Problem

This is a toughy!!!! I had two versions installed 4.7 and
6 and I removed 4.7 that had an add-in. Now i cant get 6
to work. I open messenger and it flashes on screen and
jumps down to the taskbar but doesnt spin like normal.
Then when i point my arrow to it it disappears. I have
removed it and restarted pc and reinstalled about 4 times.
I WOULD APPPRECIATE ANYONE WHO COULD HELP ME.

4.7 is Windows Messenger (built in to Windows XP) while
6.0 is MSN Messenger, a non-XP integrated program
available to just about anyone. I suggest removing MSN
Messenger 6.0 and installing Windows Messenger 5.0. This
is the latest version of Windows Messenger and should
give you all the services you are looking for.
