Post subject: Interesting? temp files.
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>help_and_support (more info?)

I regularly clean out the Temp folder (C:\documents and Settings\{user}\local settings\temp).
I open the folder and select all, then delete all, bypassing the recycle bin.

Lately I have noticed that the time stamp on some of these files indicates they were created before
the last clean out.
Example: I will delete all files at 10:00 am. Then when I go to clean them out at 6:00 pm I find
files that were dated before 10:00 am that day. Not a problem to me, but I would like to
understand this ghost. Anyone else noted this?

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

%TEMP% is the folder used to extract (unzip) files. Extracted files can
retain their creation date.
