Vista 32 bit ultimate
Hi,
My PC (mobo: ASUS P5NE SLI) came preconfigured as RAID 0 (two * Seagate
320GB SATA II 7200.10), but I'm starting to think that the modest performance
gains of RAID 0 are outweighed by the risk of data loss. Is it possible in
Vista to take an image of the current installation, then remove the RAID, and
then restore the image back to one of the drives? If so, how would I go about
it?

Hi,

You should be able to using the Complete PC backup function or a third party
imaging product and store the image on some other media (DVD set or
removable drive). You will then need to disable the RAID and return to
normal disk configuration including repartioning and formatting. Then boot
with the Vista DVD and enter the recovery environment to restore the image.
