hello,
I have a samba service running on my FreeBSD File/Web Server. I log into
the server and browse to the directory of the file I want to copy to
this XP machine. At about 30% complete, my wi-fi connection is cut off
and I get an error.
"Cannot copy <filename>: The I/O operation has been aborted because of
either a thread exit or an application request."
After this error, I cannot repair the connection and must restart the
computer to establish a connection to the network again. Other files on
the server copy fine and complete except this one (That I have noticed
so far) and do not terminate my connection. Also, copying this file to
other computers running XP and Vista have no problems completing and
also do not terminate the connection.(Which rules out a file problem)
Not sure if I gave enough information about the problem but just stated
what is happening. Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem may be
and what I could do to remedy this. If any more information is needed
please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Matt
