Why does the "X new e-mail messages" link in MS Messenger
open IE to the Hotmail page, instead of opening MSN 8
software? I notice that if I have MSN already open and
minimized, it is maximized to the mail page. But if it
is not open, IE opens instead to Hotmail.

Greetings j,

You need to have MSN 8 running for it to open in MSN 8. However, I believe this specific
problem will be corrected in future versions of MSN Messenger 6.

Or it might be because IE is set as the default browser instead of MSN 8 ??
