Post subject: Display Resolution
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

I normally run my resolution at 800 X 600 pixels, but when I click on ANY
Word Documents, the resolution automatically changes to 640 X 480 and totally
screws up the whole screen.
When I get out of the documents, sometimes it will automatically change back
to the original resolution, but other times I have to take the time to go
into the Control Panel and make the adjustments.
Why does it do this and what do I need to do to fix it so it will quit
happening?

It could be the compatibility settings. Locate your Word Document program
(mine is located at Program Files/Microft Office/OFFICE11/WINWORD.EXE). Right
click on the .exe file > Click Properties > Compatibility Tab > under Display
Setting > the boxes should be all unchecked.
