Firefox is my default browser. If I drag a URL to my desktop, when I
click on it later Firefox opens with that URL, but I also get a Windows
error message, saying that Windows can't find the file, make sure I've
typed it correctly, etc. How to I put an end to the error messages?

Thanks!

The association may be damaged. Here's what mine looks like:

Open Control Panel, Folder Options, File Types, scroll down to HTM,
click Advanced, Open, Edit.

Action:
open

Application used to..
C:\PROGRA~1\MOZILL~1\FIREFOX.EXE -url "%1"

*Use DDE

Application:
FIREFOX

Open Control Panel, Folder Options, File Types tab
Select "(NONE) URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol"
Click Advanced, Select open and click Edit
Uncheck "Use DDE" and Click OK
Click OK > OK to close the dialogs

Good Luck, Ayush.
