Cleartype problems after resume

I have a very weird problem, sometimes after a resume cleartype does not work
correctly anymore. The system dialogs are allright but all the applications
have cleartype switched off. This seems to occur only when i used remote
desktop before the sleep-resume cycle.

Tried everything :

- Switch on/off cleartype
- Switch "always use cleartype on html" on
- Searched google and MS KB

Found nothing, and nothing helps. The only way to get cleartype back on is a
restart. Restarts take a very longgg time in vista, so if anyone knows how to
avoid this bug i would be gratefull

sorry i cannot help you on this except to commiserate. i have a similar
problem in that no matter how many places i set cleartype on, a reboot or ms
update somehow turns it off again. i am luckier than you because my control
panel app turns it on immediately. if you found an answer, please let me
