CDR Formatted - Overwrote Data?

It didn't actually overwrite them as that is impossible on a cdr. The files
are there but they have just been marked as not there so won't show up using
it's file system. I used to have a utility that would read cdr's in their
RAW state and could retrieve the files off it but can't remember the name of
it now and don't know if it is free anymore or even exists still. You should
be able to find a similar utility on the web if you search in Google for cdr
raw reader or something like that. I have it somewhere backed up to cdr but
it would take me forever to find it again.

YUP. The data is there. I downloaded a trial version of BadCopy Pro.
They want me to pay for it, so I'll look for a free utility before I
pay $40 for BadCopy Pro. Thanks for the heads up.

And VISTA was not intuitive to let me FORMAT the disc when there was
data on there.

Look for ISOBUSTER Older versions of it were just plain free. I have an
older version and it works just fine. Now it costs about $20, U.S. if you
want an "unlimited" version. There is a legitimate free version that
doesn't have all the bells and whistles unlocked. You can get it, use it,
and keep it, all legal. It works very well and is freeware.

Worked like a charm. Thanks Dan. I downloaded ISO Buster 1.9 and it
