I took my computer in and got more ram and wanted Norton 2007 installed. It
apparently would not activate so they put in AVG free service. They
uninstalled my Fix-it Utilities and now I put it back in and it won't
athenticate so I can't update. I only use the utilities in Fix-it. I keep off
the virus scanners. My firewall is not the culprit either. My UPS battery is
dead as well. Any suggestions other than backing up and renistalling windows?

you need to git rid of the 30 day free norton first

I Have no Norton. I have AVG. I did have Norton 2006 full version that
expired. I think there might be some hidden spyware that is not beeing
detected.
