Post subject: Access denied
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>security_admin (more info?)

I made my docs folder private and something happened the next day causing me
to reinstall windows but i did not format. when i tried to access my old my
docs folder i got access denied- i I am the admin- there a way for me to open
it it gain?

Hello,

you could try taking ownership over the files/folders: Right-click the
folder -> Properties -> tab "Security" -> Advanced -> tab "Owner" and select
your user. If necessary, go then back to the tab Security and add your
username.
