2 video cards - 3 monitors - 1 desktop - help me solve the..

Additional info, if you post to more than one newsgroup, crosspost it, don't
multipost. Crossposting is sending the same message to multiple groups at
the same time. Multiposting is sending the same message individually to
each group, which shouldn't be done, especially in this case where you might
like to have the collaboration. Multiposting is counterproductive and get's
people upset, too.

You cannot, as far as I know, crosspost using the web interface. That
interface is lousy for many reasons, that being just one. I suggest you use
a newsreader to access what are actually Usenet newsgroups. XP comes with
Outlook Express which can be set up for newsgroup access. From OE it is
easy to crosspost, just list each newsgroup separated by a comma. Here is a

When you say cloned do you mean the actual display is cloned on two
monitors.
(Two monitors with same resolution is not a cloned display)

What vid card slots does your mobo support?

I guess you are right, is not called cloned, maybe "mirrored"? I'm clueless..


I haven't bought the new mobo, yet, but I've been looking at two different
cards that can take two PCI-Express cards each. One of them (Asus P5B Deluxe)
can take one PCI-Express at x16 and the other slot at x2 (or x4 if disabling
PCIx1) and the other mobo (Asus P5W DH Deluxe) that can take both the
PCI-Express at x8.

If I plugin two videocards on a mobo like above, can the same desktop be
seen on the primary display on both the screens? At different resolutions?
Or am I wishing for too much?
