Why change the oil in your car? something in the car will
someday break. So just forget about preventive
maintenance.

You are a moron!!!

I can see what he is saying though - why should we have to 'get ready' for
service pack 2. What is is going to do to my PC that I should have to be
'ready' for?

To follow your analogy - I don't have to get my car 'ready' when I change
the oil, I just take it to the garage, similarly, I should just have to take
my computer to the MS website!

Following your analogy. If you are too lazy to know how
to change your own oil and you just want others to do it
for you, then you have to at least drive it to the
garage. Just like in XP you have to turn on AU or go to
Win update site to get it, but then you have to deal with
what happen.

But if you want to be proactive and learn of the changes
and what is coming then SP2 will be very smooth.

But what am I saying!! people being proactive yea right!!
People in the World today are fat lazy bastards that want
everything done for them and done yesterday. Then when it
is free they will bitch it wasn't done correctly.
