Post subject: home network installation
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>configuration_manage (more info?)

I wonder if someone can help me.
I am trying to install a small home network. That network worked under W98
but since I upgraded to XP it has never worked. I am now trying again to
install and I am following the instruction that I have downloaded from the
Microsoft site.
In the first step where I want to install the main computer as server I
receive an error message
Spooler Subsystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close.
The Microsoft site refers to that mistake only what is related to a printing
problem and gives you detail on what has to be present in the register under
"print"
I did check these and they contain exactly what the article specifies. I did
see in that section a "network" caption and there are 4 section with a lot
of subsection and it looks like repetitious information. Can anyone tell me
what should present under these subsections ? I believe if I properly clean
up that "network" section the problem will be fixed.
Looking forward to some help
Sincerely
Isaac
