I have done something to the disk clean up and deleted a registry item or
something and the the disk clean up screen has nothing in it. So "files to
delete" is blank.
Any idea how to restore it?

What changes did you make to the system right before this problem occurred?
Have you been using a registry cleaner? If so does it have an undo feature?
Try that. Otherwise try a system restore to before the problem started.
